Line Supervision Instructors Guide

To begin the line supervision course, there is some preparing courses that take place before beginning the training.
Phase #001 - Preparation Phase
Ensure all law enforcement officers are in the Class A uniforms according to their primary department.

Key Points of this Course
Situational Awareness
the understanding of an environment, its elements, and how it changes with respect to time or other factors. Situational awareness is important for effective decision making in many environments and its changes that may occur.
Example
If there is two people on scene and someone across the street that needs to be scanned over frequently to ensure no sort of element of surprise occurs.
Reactionary Gap
The gap between yourself and any sort of threat that you may run into while on a situation. The gap must be approximately 10 feet so you have time to react and deploy your firearm or any sort of less-then-lethal process.
Example
You are on a traffic stop and the driver steps out and runs at you with a knife. You need to set your distance from the threat so you can utilize your use of force if necessary.
Phase #002 - Supervisor Request Scenario
During this phase, the officer who is taking this course will need to respond to a supervisor request from a civilian who is dealing with a new hired officer. This new hire is being extremely disrespectful, escalating the situation. The job as a upcoming corporal is to respond to the scene, speak with the officer in relation to the scenario, then speak with the civilian involved.

The acting officer will arrive on scene and reconize the civilian from a off-duty occurance. This acting officer will then put his personal life to decipher decisions in his job which results in a disrespectful demeanor towards the civilian. | Trespassing |

Phase #003 - Managing of a Scenario & Scene Management
During this scene, the officer involved in this course will arrive on scene in relation to a possible domestic violence call. This call involves two parties of a husband and wife, and an officer on scene. During this scenario, the officer is being very aggressive, and not self aware at all of the environment taken place when speaking to both parties. The officer needs to respond to the scene as a active supervisor and correct officer on scenes demeanor, de-escalation aspects, and solve the scenario without any further actions from escalating. If things do escalate, the acting supervisor must give orders to result in officer safety, and safety of others surrounding.

When setting up the scene, you can use /scene
to setup prompts of weapons on the couch, a knife on the kitchen table, or any sort of weapon to test the officers environmental awareness. Use the prop menu also to spawn in props to signify different things to lookout for as well
Phase #004 - Proper Handling of a Officer Involved Shooting
During this scenario, a new hired officer will be on a traffic stop with a extremely non-compliant driver who does not like the police. The driver then will step out, and have a dark object in his hand but due to it being dark, the officer discharges his firearm due to thinking it's a firearm due to dark time conditions.
As a officer taking this course, you need to respond to the scene and figure out what occurred, and complete the procedures of filing a Officer Involved Shooting Report.

During a routine traffic stop the other instructor acting as a new hire doesn't know how to act or respond to this aggressive behavior.
